With neighborhood policing units being cut from the budget and economic trouble visiting many at this time, the potential exists for an increase in crime. Prayer is needed and action is required. My Watch is about proactively building up communities and neighborhoods. It promotes safe plans for various scenarios, it equips people on how to be agents of Hope, Mercy, Grace and Love, and it connects + engages otherwise disconnected neighbors in a community. My Watch starts with a “phone tree” system to notify neighbors of emergencies and regular gatherings for training and sharing information. A Block Manager coordinates these steps and oversees the development of Lighthouses (providing safety and access to a phone for emergencies) and future developments. Whatever your level of involvement, everyone is needed to “adopt” a neighborhood to proactively build stronger, safer places to live.
