| We are thinking strategically about the entire region. Right now, we are prepping the battleground by parceling out the city in quadrants so we can wrap our arms around it through unity. Each quadrant will have a group of committed saints equipped to do the work of the ministry. They will form a contact team for what God wants to do in that area. When a need or an idea surfaces, the church that lives in that neighborhood can readily take ownership and see it through. We will be asking that those who sign on make it a point to share a meal once a month with a non-church-attending-neighbor. Just think, 5000 believers having meals with the lost each month! We will ask that you remember to petition God for your neighbors and seek ways to bless them so they know the grace of God (even though they don't come to our services on the weekend!) After a while of praying for them, let them know you pray for them and solicit requests from them, "what one thing would you ask God for if you knew He would answer?" We want to arrive at a day in the region where anywhere you go, you can pull into a neighborhood and ask, "who is the care and prayer person in this neighborhood?" and find a coherant response. quote: --It's not right to see a line in the Record Searchlight stating "these apartments are cursed..." and have absolutely NO reaction from the church! - Jon Thompson |
