MANTER HOUSE BROCHURE
THE MANTER HOUSE
A place established by people who love Jesus, who are partnering with the community to bring tangible transformation, increased hope and greater freedom, as each one applies their strengths, abilities and gifts.
Located at 1683 Manter Dr. in Anderson, one block north of Bruce St. and a block away from Volonte Park, the house serves as the anchor for the Hope Zone in this neighborhood.
REGULAR GATHERINGS:
Afterschool Club - Every Tuesday from 3-5 pm, school aged members enjoy a snack, learn Bible stories, get homework help from a tutor and play games.
Resource Center - The house is open on Thursdays from 3-6 pm for those who need to use a computer, access the internet, ask questions about local resources and finding jobs.
Monthly Worship - Believers in the neighborhood have a chance to worship together, receive encouragement and fellowship together on the 2nd Thursday of each monthly from 7- 8:30 pm.
SUMMER FUN FOR KIDS - Starting June 18th, every morning we'll be offering crafts, games, swimming and Bible stories for 5-13 year olds. We need help with all those areas, plus facilitating a free lunch for anyone in the neighborhood under 18 years old.
Plus other events that could include meals together, art, music, neighborhood clean up, classes, Bible studies - something for everyone, kids, teens, grown-ups, grandparents.

Manter House Q & A
Who runs the Manter House?
The house is privately owned, but operated by volunteers through South County Transformation, under We R 1net, a faith-based non-profit corporation, founded in 2004 as Redding Transformation (EIN 73-1718919).
What do you hope to see there?
We picture this location facilitating the transfer of skills for abundant living. We are not about programs as much as we are about relationships. All we do at the house aims at bringing an increased sense of hope and freedom to the neighborhood and beyond:
- kids having fun while getting positive help
- adults developing and sharing skills, receiving mentoring and friendship
- neighborliness increasing
- crime and violence fading.
What are the key elements you see being included in the future?
We see the house as a resource center where people and organizations can bring assets that would benefit the people who live in the area. Those would include some or all of these elements:
- RELATIONSHIP
- COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
- RESOURCES
- POSITIVE FUN & RECREATION
- NEIGHBORHOOD BEAUTIFICATION
- LOCAL PARTICIPATION
- EDUCATION
- HEALTH
- INTERGENERATIONAL
