We, as members of the Body of Christ, have been strategically positioned by the Head in our various spheres of influence to be salt and light in our community. Many times we are in a situation where immediate intervention beyond our resources is needed. The process of accessing help can be daunting and we’re tempted to give, but WHAT IF…

• The labor could be so spread out through various teams and groups that no one would be maxed out?
  
  
• A team had pre-arranged a ‘yes in their heart’ based on giftedness and talents? Electricians, carpenters, youth groups, retired folks, people willing to haul, cook, & shuttle were standing by?
  
  
• Those willing to meet the needs in the name of Jesus were connected with those who have needs who don’t know Jesus?
  
  
• Christians with talents in compassion and listening, counseling and prayer were ready and waiting for that phone call?
  
  
• This community could be flooded by the CHURCH, being the CHURCH together and “seeing to it that no one misses the grace of God.” Unity could have an expression beyond the ‘pep-rally for Jesus’ stereotype.

SHELTER - meals, groceries, errands, childcare
SWEAT – supplies, clean up, yard work , pick up truck
PERSONAL – prayer, counseling, discipleship, salvation
OTHER (specify). Please also list skills you have to offer (carpentry, automotive, nursing, etc.)

The time commitment is not more than once a month, but the rewards are eternal!
